It was a bento shop
made with love.
YOME Kitchen
has continued to grow steadily
even now.
They have moved
to a larger kitchen,
and compared with those days,
the number of bento boxes
they make
and the number of staff
have both continued
to increase.
“Put life into the things
you make with your heart.
If you yourself stay bright
and joyful,
that happiness
will be passed
into the bento.
It will then spread
to other people.
That circle
will grow wider and wider.
If everyone becomes healthy
and happy,
people will naturally begin
to care for one another,
and that feeling
will spread throughout
the community.
The root of world peace
is the local community.
And the root
of that community
is people.
The spirit of people
is created through food.”
These words
are from my diary
at that time.
They are also the policy
of Yokoyon Café.
