These photos are from
an elementary school festival.
Melbourne is a city of immigrants.
The students and teachers
all came from different backgrounds,
and everyone was wearing clothing
that represented their own country
or culture.
The Japanese women
were wearing yukata,
and they were making origami
and sushi rolls.
The other photos
are from Easter,
when I was working at the Greek
cake shop.
There is a bread called tsoureki,
which has a boiled egg dyed red
placed in the center.
In Greece,
Easter is the busiest season
of the year.
This bread was so popular
that as soon as we put it out,
it would sell in no time.
