They would forget things
so quickly and so lightly
that it almost felt refreshing.
Sometimes,
it honestly surprised me.
At one workplace,
there was a chef who said
he was going to the bathroom—
and then never came back.
People like that do exist
from time to time.
But one year later,
he started working
at the same place again.
I could not understand at all
why management had decided
to rehire him.
Maybe they were really desperate
for staff...
But still.
Why that chef?
